"Hi Kristian. I started fat and slow in 2015 with a 5.25 busso half. That got me motivated, and I trained for busso ironman on my own steam. "Can I say how much I love your podcasts? After listening to a podcast on mind/mental challenges, it made all the difference in my first full Ironman event at Coeur d'Alene last June...at 106 degrees, the wisdom dolled out in your podcast got me mentally prepared as I reset expectations with the heat. Pacing myself, my last six miles of the marathon were my fastest and I finished right at my target time. With 5 70.3's under my belt before the Ironman, CDA was my best race ever, putting me in the top 25% of my age div 50-54. No podiums, but that wasn't the goal...steady pace in each discipline, stay healthy, keep HR down in the heat, have fun and finish strong. I really can't say enough how much your podcast helped me!
